Despite what you might think, we all work really hard here at GayRomeo – whether it’s developing new features, answering your questions as quickly as we can, or telling off naughty users. So once in a while Mother tells us that it’s time to have some fun and let our hair down.
So for Amsterdam Gay Pride in 2008 she planned something special for us: the first GayRomeo boat in the famous canal parade. (In case you didn’t know, in Amsterdam Gay Pride takes place on the water!)
Mother surprised us all by making her first public appearance. As always she made sure that we behaved ourselves, but she joined in the fun as well, wicked old thing that she is. We even caught her knocking back a few beers when she thought no one was looking!
In addition to our own team, friends and business partners also joined in, so that all in all there were around 50 people on the boat. The whole occasion was generously co-sponsored by our data hosts Reasonnet & Co-locate.
We all had a lot of fun and we are looking forward to repeating that next year ;-)
